COLLEGE STAFF

Wendy is here every day to help students. She is responsible for the pastoral care of all students, encouraging a balance between academic, cultural, sporting and social activities.

Wendy’s experience working in independent boarding schools throughout both Victoria and Queensland has enabled her to build on her rural Victorian upbringing, aiming to strengthen educational opportunities, especially for students from remote, rural and regional areas. Most recently she was awarded her Master of Education (Guidance and Counselling). You can talk to Wendy about any concerns you may have, either personally or academically.

Tamara holds a PhD from University of South Australia, and a first class honours degree in Health Sciences from Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland. For the past decade she has worked as an academic and researcher at UniSA and Flinders University.  As a mother and a tutor, Tamara understands the pressures a young person experiences as a student and as a person in the world.  

 

Tamara is responsible for academic support for student and provides programs of workshops throughout the year. You can contact Tamara about any concerns you have about your academic journey. She also manages the library, and she can help you with all of your textbook needs. She is in the office Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. 

Chris joined St Ann’s in early 2023 with over 20 years of experience in senior Executive Assistant roles working for South Australian owned family businesses. She has also gained experience throughout her career in HR. Chris supports St Ann’s College Principal – Denise von Wald in her day-to-day tasks, manages the college application process, supports the students, as well working closely with all the staff. Chris is the best person to speak to if you want to find some time for a meeting with Denise. Chris works Monday through to Friday.

Leia is currently on maternity leave. 

Originally from Brazil, Leia has been living in Adelaide since arriving as a student in 2016. She holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and this website is developed by her.

Leia has helped with the development of our student Portal and to move the College from paper application process to a cloud solution site. After achieving her permanent residency in 2018, Leia took up her full-time position with St Ann’s. She is now an Australian citizen, officially welcomed to the country in May 2021.

Joanne works at St Ann’s Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 3pm.

Joanne is the St Ann’s Bookkeeper and joined the College in 2020. With an accounting and finance background in the hotel and hospitality industry Joanne manages the day-to-day finances of the College. She has been working in the finance industry for nearly 20 years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Luke joined the St Ann’s team at the start of 2022. As the Maintenance Manager he works Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, and keeps the lights on, the walls standing and manages all the repairs and renovations in between. As the manager of our enormous and eclectic group of buildings Luke is the go-to person for any maintenance and building issues. A carpenter and joiner by trade, Luke has extensive experience in facility management and trade coordination as well as a thorough understanding of Australian building codes and compliance requirements. We hope that his previous experience in fitting out warships will ensure that St Ann’s buildings are kept in shape and student tolerant for many years to come!

Phillip Agaciuk, a qualified Horticulturalist, joined St Ann’s College in July 2023. Previously he was in the role of Maintenance Officer at Uniting SA Aged Care, where he worked on the Westminster Village site. He also worked at Parkwynd Hospital maintaining the grounds and volunteered for several years at the Waite Arboretum, on both their rose and discover native gardens.

Earlier in his life, he was a Train Controller in Port Augusta for many years before re-training for a career in horticulture and maintenance.

Phillip works full time, maintaining the gardens as well as supporting Luke Furno – St Ann’s College Maintenance Manager.
