Lucy Fairlie-Jones is the Dean at St Ann’s College and takes on the pastoral care of our nearly 200 students. Her role encompasses supporting student wellbeing and fostering an inclusive culture.
Lucy has close ties to the University of South Australia where she received a First-Class Honours Degree in Health Sciences and worked in research.
She comes to us with seven years of experience at Seymour College, where she became Head of Boarding in 2020. She has loved working in a residential environment thus far and believes there are common themes and challenges that are applicable to the Dean position.
During her time as Head of Boarding, Lucy was an active member of the Australian Boarding Schools Association. Through this organisation she presented at conferences and participated in a range of professional development courses. She has completed training in Duty of Care and Mental Health First Aid.
Lucy works full time in the office Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
Business Analytics Officer
Originally from Brazil, Leia has been working at St Ann’s since 2017. She holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and this website is developed by her.
Leia played a pivotal role in the conceptualisation and development of our student portal, making information access smoother and more efficient for our community. She spearheaded the transformation of our traditional paper application process to a streamlined cloud-based solution, enhancing accessibility and reducing environmental impact. Leia is a visionary IT professional with a passion for process improvement, web design, and branding. Her outstanding problem-solving skills and proactive approach make her a driving force in our mission to provide the best possible experience for our students. Her commitment to excellence, coupled with her cultural diversity, enriches our college environment.

Joanne is the St Ann’s Bookkeeper and joined the College in 2020. With an accounting and finance background in the hotel and hospitality industry Joanne manages the day-to-day finances of the College. She has been working in the finance industry for nearly 20 years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Executive Assistant to the Principal and CEO
In early 2023, Chris became a valuable addition to St Ann’s College, bringing with her more than two decades of expertise in senior Executive Assistant positions within South Australian family-owned businesses. Her career journey has also provided her with extensive experience in the field of Human Resources.
At St Ann’s, Chris fulfills a multifaceted role. She plays a pivotal part in supporting the daily tasks of the College Principal, Wendy Fleming. Chris also takes charge of managing the college application process, extends her support to the students, and collaborates closely with all members of the staff. When it comes to scheduling a meeting with Wendy, Chris is your go-to person.

Facilities and Operations Manager
Luke joined the St Ann’s team at the start of 2022 as the Facilities and Operations Manager. He keeps the lights on, the walls standing and manages all the repairs and renovations in between. As the manager of our enormous and eclectic group of buildings Luke is the go-to person for any maintenance and building issues. A carpenter and joiner by trade, Luke has extensive experience in facility management and trade coordination as well as a thorough understanding of Australian building codes and compliance requirements. We hope that his previous experience in fitting out warships will ensure that St Ann’s buildings are kept in shape and student tolerant for many years to come!

Dr Tamara Agnew
Director of Learning
Tamara holds a PhD from University of South Australia, and a first class honours degree in Health Sciences from Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland. For the past decade she has worked as an academic and researcher at UniSA and Flinders University. As a mother and a tutor, Tamara understands the pressures a young person experiences as a student and as a person in the world.
Tamara is responsible for academic support for student and provides programs of workshops throughout the year. You can contact Tamara about any concerns you have about your academic journey. She also manages the library, and she can help you with all of your textbook needs.
She is in the office Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
Gardener / Groundsperson
Phillip Agaciak, a qualified Horticulturalist, joined St Ann’s College in July 2023. Previously he was in the role of Maintenance Officer at Uniting SA Aged Care, where he worked on the Westminster Village site. He also worked at Parkwynd Hospital maintaining the grounds and volunteered for several years at the Waite Arboretum, on both their rose and discover native gardens.
Earlier in his life, he was a Train Controller in Port Augusta for many years before re-training for a career in horticulture and maintenance.
You will find Phillip maintaining the gardens as well as supporting Luke Furno – St Ann’s College Facilities and Operations Manager.
Phillip works Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Marketing and Advancement Officer
Lauren Waters joined the St Ann’s team as the new Marketing and Advancement Officer in late 2023. Originally from the United States, she comes to us with experience in American ad agencies, copywriting for trade publications in Beijing, China, as well as 13 years of marketing experience in the Australian food and health industries.
Her main duties at St Ann’s include copywriting, social media, public relations, marketing the college and assisting with events.
Lauren works part time on Thursdays and Fridays.
