- Have been to an exposure site listed on the SA Health website.
- Have spent more than four hours in close proximity to a Covid positive person indoors WITH A MASK ON.
What do I need to do?
If you have symptoms:
- Get a PCR test immediately. This is much more reliable than a RAT.
- Isolate immediately. Do not leave your room for any reason other than seeking a test or medical attention or to use a designated bathroom if you do not have an ensuite. Bathrooms for close contacts with symptoms will be clearly signed.
- If your test is positive, please see the Covid-19 Positive Case FAQs.
If your PCR is negative but you still have symptoms
- You are still a close contact!
- You must isolate in your room for seven days. Do not leave your room while you have symptoms unless it is to seek a test, medical attention, to use a designated bathroom if you do not have an ensuite. Bathrooms for close contacts with symptoms will be clearly signed.
- Get a second PCR test on Day 6.
- If your second PCR is negative, you can leave isolation at the end of Day 7.
- If your second PCR is positive, please see the Covid-19 Positive Case FAQs.
If you do not have symptoms
- Get a PCR test immediately or use a RAT on Days 1, 3, 5 and 7.
- You must isolate immediately in your room for seven days.
- If your test results (either PCR or RAT) are negative and you do not have symptoms you must still complete your seven day isolation.
- You are permitted to leave your room to use the gardens, collect your meals from the dining room, seek a test or medical attention or use a designated bathroom, if you do not have an ensuite. Bathrooms for close contacts without symptoms will be clearly signed.
- You must wear a mask at all times when outside your room.
- Do not visit any other students or socialise in any way, this includes when exercising outside or collecting food.
- If your test results (either PCR or RAT) are positive, even if you do not have symptoms, please see the COVID-19 Positive Case FAQS.
If you develop symptoms
- If you develop symptoms, even if a previous PCR or RAT test has been negative, you must do a PCR test immediately.
- Remain in your room in isolation. Do not leave your room while you have symptoms unless it is to seek a test, medical attention, or to use a designated bathroom (clearly signed for close contacts with symptoms) if you do not have an ensuite.
- Do not visit any other students or socialise in any way. Meals will be delivered to your room.
- If you test positive, please see the COVID-19 Positive Case FAQS.
- If you test negative, complete your seven day isolation requirements. This includes having a Day 6 PCR test or Days 1, 3, 5 and 7 RATs. These tests (PCR or RATs) must all be negative for you to leave isolation after 7 days.
Where and how do I get tested?
To access these RATs free of charge you need to do the following:
-
- You need to register as a close contact which will provide you with a receipt confirming your eligibility to collect RATs, the link is as follows:
- In one of the drop down boxes it will ask what site you are collecting RAT’s from. Please enter Adelaide and note you will be able to pick them up by phoning the Tutor on Duty and collecting them from Wendy’s Office.
- As a close contacts you are required to test day 1,3,5 and 7. (So you will get 4 RATs).

Victoria Park testing station is our closest location for PCR Testing. This is a drive through station and you do not need to book. If you do not have your own vehicle or are too unwell to make your way there, please contact your Tutor.
How do I access food and supplies?
- You have been invited to join a group on Teams on which you can select what meals you require.
- If you are a close contact and have symptoms meals will be delivered to your room in disposable containers. Place them in your bin and ensure that bin bags are securely tied before cleaners collect them.
- If you are a close contact and have no symptoms and a negative RAT test you can go to the dining room to collect your meals at the designated times.
